A Lovely Little Pair...

This is where we don't want anything but evidence of your finest wood butchering in all its glorious, and photograph laden glory. Bring your finished products or WIP's, we love them all, so long as there's pictures, and plenty of 'em!

A Lovely Little Pair...

...of side tables for the home. 8-)

These have been on Mrs P's list for a while and before I start the Clinker Boat Bar Project, I rustled up this pair last week.

Very simple... oak & teak to match a gorgeous little display case I made for home last year. The teak was an old table top I salvaged from a client a while ago. The oak is just off-cuts flickering around the workshop.

Here is a reminder of the display case I made last year. This wasn't everyone's taste on here, but we love it. I look at it most evenings in the living room and it holds a presence of its own - it brings me a lot of joy.

The well of teak shavings also has a scattering of small/soft LED lights - tis lovely and magical.

Now on with the new tables...

These are for each side of the sofa where Mrs P and I sit. One is slightly larger than the other (I guess all us chaps have said this at some point!) as Mrs P's side is near the wall, but my table will have The Oak Blob on it.

My next project for home will be a console table - but when, who knows.

Cheers,

I see you're full of compliments today Malc.

Strangely, Mrs P and I exchanged some mild words over the weekend and somewhere in this growing rage of exchange, I did refer to myself as 'AN EASY GOING LAID BACK SIMPLETON (dude)' while the blood was boiling and steam gushing from the ears with the unintentional bad impression of Roy Hattersley in the throw of things. :x

We've made up now and if you're wondering... yep, Mrs P was right.
