First Bandsawn boxes

This is where we don't want anything but evidence of your finest wood butchering in all its glorious, and photograph laden glory. Bring your finished products or WIP's, we love them all, so long as there's pictures, and plenty of 'em!

First Bandsawn boxes

Postby Dalboy » 15 Sep 2014, 18:49

Well these are the first bandsawn boxes that I have produced. In the first set I know that one is not a box but it was made to match the draw unit.

Comments welcome on any mistakes as these are only the first I have to learn.

The two draw box I used plans by dakremer on Lumberjocks site

All look very nice, but I like design of the two drawer box better than the one drawer box. This is because the point where the cut starts is desgned to look more like an integral part of the design, rather than just a practical necessity of the manufacturing process.

I agree with that I will be looking at designs that flow more. The two draw one I am very pleased with and is my favourite one out of the two. I was concentrating on getting clean cuts and the process of the cutting order.

Thank you.

If your list is anything like mine then it is a very long one. These were on it and I will be making more

I like them too :)

At first I thought the lead in cut was a shame but it flows and kind of looks right...

Thank you Robert. I agree about the lead in cut especially on the second one, on the first one it does not look out of place in as much it looks like part of the design which is the one I borrowed so to speak.
