Linseed Oil Paint

Has anyone any experience of using linseed oil paint? I understand softwood for outside projects shouldn't need re-painting for 10-15 years.

A friend used it on his chapel conversion that I worked on & I was impressed with the paint.
It certainly does appear to last a long time & also goes a long way, I was surprised how little was needed to paint large areas also it can be revitalise by wiping over with neat oil.
The only down side was the drying time, it could take a couple of days to dry depending on the weather.

Go straight to Bedec's products if you want long-lasting high quality painted finishes for outdoor timber. Barn Paint for sawn timber, or Multi-Surface Paint for planed. It wouldn't cross my mind to use anything else.
