Mixing cup quandary

Hang up your Chisels and Plane blades and take a load off with a recently turned goblet of your favourite poison, in the lounge of our Gentlemen's (and ladies) Club.

Mixing cup quandary

I've got some of these mixing cups

Quite clever. Take a 2:1 mix. You fill the cup with A up to the level, say, of the 5 in the LH column. Then add B to bring the total level up to the 5 in the RH column. (A:B = 2:1).

But what about those smaller graduations ? 5,10, 15 etc. What are those for ?

Does it not work the same way as the large digits?
eg 2:1 scale:- fill with A to 5-10 left hand scale and then with B to 5-10 on the right hand scale.

Maybe useful if you overshoot when adding A whilst aiming for large digit scale
