Your favourite listenings......

Hang up your Chisels and Plane blades and take a load off with a recently turned goblet of your favourite poison, in the lounge of our Gentlemen's (and ladies) Club.

On my way back home tonight in Betty-the-Beemer, I decided to avoid the Friday traffic and drove through the beautiful New Forest - it was dusk and perfect.

I listened to 3 special tracks a few times from an old CD which has been in my collection for 17 years. This brought back some memories for me and the surroundings were just right.

I've brought the tracks together and uploaded them onto YouTube.

I hope you enjoy this and feel inspired as I did.

Turn up the volume.

You're an unusual chap Paul, that's for sure. I listened for 4 minutes hoping the music was going somewhere but it didn't. I'm afraid that won't be on my playlist mate.

Cheers

Cheers Bob. That's okay matey, it isn't everyone's taste - and It was 17 years ago when I felt a connection to the music. A roller coaster time of my life if I'm honest, but, I still like the music a lot - probably because of the connection and where my imagination took me back then - and still can. The journey made an impression on me and the memories are wonderful. 8-)

I hope this thread does not go down the "our song" route. It could get very embarrassing. ;) :D

Hmm! "run" does not sound like quite the right sort of thing for a wedding.

It was always suggested that we should have the hymn "Fight the good Fight" for our wedding

A true poet - nice one Doug.

Chaps, nowt wrong with 'our song' theme

Mrs P and me just clicked with Snow Patrol's Run and it was apt for us - brilliant song. Plus, we like SP a lot. Also, between us, we've been married 8 times  :o So, we should get it right this time round. We've been together almost 7 years now.

This was the big hit of the day when I first met the good lady wife in a nightclub around 1987 & it became "our tune" we danced to it on our wedding night causing some consternation
