Dangerous Substances

Hang up your Chisels and Plane blades and take a load off with a recently turned goblet of your favourite poison, in the lounge of our Gentlemen's (and ladies) Club.

Dangerous Substances

I have been trying to reply to Tusses's post but cannot for some reason?

I've been tidying up my workshop too and keep unearthing all sorts of stuff from times past like this:

Fortunately tin contents haven't been used!

At what stage does your reply fail Rod?
I see Andy has replied ok.

Edit:
Ah I have just seen your other post with details. Have you tried again after making other successful replies?

Morning Tusses

chew it a bit to moisten and bung it in the hole

How uncivilised :D

In the 1960's we used a similar product called Fillplug at work. You were supposed to put some in the lid of the tin, add water and mix it with the little pointed stick supplied and poke it in the hole.

Naturally, everyone used to spit on it in the lid, thereby raising a small cloud of dust, which you then inhaled.

What annoys me is the fact that asbestos was known to be dangerous as far back as the 1930's.

Cheers

Well if you're coming up all this way ......we're 25 minutes away.

We went to Alnwick at Easter and found the guided tour of the Poison Garden very entertaining and informative. I think we came to the conclusion that Periwinkle was the best way. All the others seemed to involve pain, bile, vomit and bits falling off !
