Hang up your Chisels and Plane blades and take a load off with a recently turned goblet of your favourite poison, in the lounge of our Gentlemen's (and ladies) Club.

Stumbled across this pair the other day:
The hedgehog was shivering, “sunbathing” on the paving stones and didn’t try to roll up when approached. Made a temporary shelter for it but no sign of it today. Probably too small to survive.

If you see the hedgehog again, put him in a box and call a local hedgehog sanctuary. Many areas have them.
I’ve been feeding them up in my garden with cat biscuits so they’re all a pretty good weight now. Not seen any for a day or two though.

Thanks for the links - that’s quite a commitment if you try to look after one!
It was late afternoon when I found it and had to go on a school run and then on to the Theatre so really couldn’t do much for it.
Haven’t seen it since.

Well worth the effort if you can keep one alive. Last year one was a regular visitor in my greenhouse where i kept a bowl of cat food for it. Sadly not seen it this year, but I have seen 10 thousand slugs and other beasties eating my veggies - a big contrast with last year when we were essentially unscathed - i assume because the hedgehog was working for us.
