About a month ago this interference started again on the phone, then two weeks ago every time we used the phone the router would switch off!
Logged a call with the ISP last week. Engineer arrived earlier. I tested phone and demonstrated the problem. First thing he did was change the wall wart (power adapter) for the router. Sorted! Well known fault he reckons when the power adapter gets old. Not well known enough by their telephone support guys a year ago when the router was replaced.
So we can now use the phone and WIFI at the same time again.
He also discovered a widget in the box where the phone line comes in. Put there by Orange, the previous ISP to monitor line usage and diagnostics. He reckoned my download speeds should improve. Can't say I have noticed, yet.
I do not think therefore I do not am.
