Do you think that this old Record G Clamp is beyond saving?

I honestly can't remember how or when it become out of shape like that. Will it need extreme heat, blacksmithing, to get it back straight?
I do not think therefore I do not am.
cheers

I'd just be sticking that in a vice and 'persuading' it back into shape...
Cheers

That used to happen all the time in the factory. Just bend it back
There is a slight chance it could snap but unlikely. They tend to open up at the same time as twisting so once un-twisted it may need a club hammer to close it up a bit.

I've got one like that and once they've been over tightened it's a bit of a 'no hoper' to bend them back again - Rob
