This is their annual expo and showcase where members display and get judged.

It is held at a school for children with learning disabilities and funds raised (R30.00) per car gets donated to the school.

On display were some machine suppliers, Makita, Festool, De Walt, Dremel.
Also suppliers with saw blades and cutter heads for moulders.
Wood blanks for turning.
Carving demonstrations with Dremels.
Cabinet making workshop.
A couple of turners using green Camphor and Yellowwood
Pen kit sales and blanks

There was a Neanderthal section where they were using some very funny looking “tools” with no 2 or 3 pin plugs!

The one chap had this sander fitted on the end of his JET lathe. Just stuck on with Prestik (Blu Tack).
He used it to sand off the bottom join on 2 pieces.

From our estate there were also some visitors. My neighbour in front of us and husband and wife a couple of houses down the road.
We don't stop woodworking because we grow old, we grow old because we stop woodworking!

Sounded like a nice show with proceeds going to a desired cause.

But if the devil could have cast his net over those three............. :twisted:

Thanks for posting Phil! I enjoyed the show, I only wish my wallet was a bit (and by that I mean a lot) more flush, so i could walk away with some early Xmas presents to my self! :lol:

I haven't been on here in such a long time, I am hoping to change that in the next weeks!
