Christmas

Hang up your Chisels and Plane blades and take a load off with a recently turned goblet of your favourite poison, in the lounge of our Gentlemen's (and ladies) Club.

Hope it goes well with the recovery Rod!

What you need is Viagra every night - it won't really be needed I hope but it WILL keep the blankets off your foot!

My uncle had an artificiall leg that he used to blatantly cheat with when we were playing footy! Good days.

We at Techauthorbob Towers used to like Christmas when the kids were young but we prefer To go somewhere warm just before, now that there are only two of us - it's not the same with just two oldies somehow.

Just been on a last minute week to Madeira, brilliant change, lovely people, lots of sun etc, would recommend to anybody. All the brit couples were having a great time in the sun.

We talked to one couple paying £16 per night B&B, can't live at home for that!

Although not an inherently violent person, my kid sister has a macabre sense of humour when it comes to decorating Xmas cakes!

And if that wasn't enough, she's done a miniature version for each of her 2 sons!

I have absolutely zero interest in Christmas although I appreciate for many it is a time for family get-togethers, a time to spend enjoyably with the children. Until the family squabbles spill out after a glass too many of sweet sherry :eusa-whistle:

But, if like us, you have no family to speak of (and those few we have aren't on speaking terms  ) and no children by choice...well, it's all a bit of a damp squib. LOML seems to like it...she's off shopping today to get the turkey and has planned some nice meals but TBH beans on toast would do me.

Hey ho...

Any road....hope you all get the pressies you deserve and have a great time.

Me thinks someone has rained on your parade.
Merry Christmas to all, and......
