Old Magazines

Postby MJOriginals » 16 Jan 2019, 13:24

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the place , but my partner(Ruth) and I have been sorting out some of her parents stuff, and we have loads of magazines of various ages and it seems a shame just to dump them, im sure some people would find them interesting

PM me if your interested, they would have to be collected due to the weight I think we are near falkirk in scotland.

we dont want any money for them just to know they are going to someone interested is enough.

we have

Popular Mechanics
112 issues dated between 1950 and 1967 but mainly mid 50's full of stuff on cars , aircraft, home building etc lots of woodwork plans if your style is mid fifties usa

also one issue march 1939

Mechanix Illustrated 10 issues between 1952 and 1967

Wild World 41 issues between 1946 and 1960

Mechanics and Handicraft 1935
science and mechanics 2 issues one 1951 one 1960
Modern Mechanics 9 issues spaced 1931 to 1939
Seagoer 1948 summer issue lots on boats
Light craft (Boats) 1958 to 1961 5 issues
Sea Breezes ( boat enthusiast magazine) Full years 1953,55,62,73,74,75,76,77,78
part years 1956,58,59,69,70,72,79
Model engineer 1957 24 issues
1978 1 issue
1979 3 issues

The Model Engineer 1950 31 issues 1946 22 issues 1951 9 issues

They all vary in condition some are really good most are very readable a few a bit rough but very interesting

Hope we find someone interested, please PM me if you need any further info

Ooh I really like the sound of the Popular Mechanics, love 50s America... were you hoping for someone to collect as I am nowhere near Scotland!!

I’d happily pay postage if you are OK to go to the trouble of packaging and also make a donation to a charity of your choice for your kindness.

Hi Matt

I try weighing them today and see if I can get a quote send me your address on the pm
They are really heavy so I’ll see about a carrier first.
