Expensive Parking

Hang up your Chisels and Plane blades and take a load off with a recently turned goblet of your favourite poison, in the lounge of our Gentlemen's (and ladies) Club.

Expensive Parking

Postby Rod » 22 Mar 2015, 14:59

Our local hospital is notorious for lack of parking spaces and made worse by selling off all of their adjoining land to other developers!
I had to go for a check up last week and even though we allowed plenty of time, the hospital car parks were full with lots of cars queuing so my wife had to drop me off and park at the Hilliers Garden Centre opposite.
That used to be free but last year they got "wise" and charge £8 for two hours parking if you leave their site - otherwise it's free.
My wife killed the time, I was gone, having a coffee there and a look around.
On my return I was dragged around to buy a "few" things on special offer and came away spending £126 - now that is expensive parking!!
