PM problems

Postby Andyp » 03 Feb 2015, 09:19

According to the header I have 1 new message.

First thing the inbox was full, so I have deleted some and now it is at 66% full. I logged out and signed in again but the new message is not visible.
Sent folder is also a lot less than 100% also.

I have also closed Safari, cleared cache and history but I can still not see the PM.

Any ideas?
cheers

Andy

if images are not visible on my posts it is because Photobucket withdrew their free hosting service. I will reload images to the most recent threads in due course. Please drop me a PM if you would like to see anything before then

After having messages held due to a full inbox, you not only have to delete to make space, but also to explicitly release held messages. Look at the section at the top of the inbox for the link to release them. It is one of the rather strange 'features' of phpbb code.

Well done Bob, thanks. It would help, I think, if the Release New Messages text was a different colour. At the moment there is nothing to suggest it is a hyperlink until you hover over it.

I don't think we can change things down to that level of detail Andy. Although not obvious the link does show up as different in some way - cant check as my in box is not full!

Yeah, I realise that. Hopefully by raising this thread it may help others in the future though.

I'll have a look at some point and see if I can change the text colour.
