There now seems to be a huge empty space on screen when posting, where there wasn’t before! :eusa-think:

Yes, with me, too, on my Mac mini.

I even had the same yesterday with a Facebook posting, where there should have been the video link's thumbnail.

Just upgraded to 16.4 and still fine here.

Wonder if it's a peculiarity to the way older products perform with this update ?

I’ve looked at five or six other forums and so far it’s only this site displaying this behaviour at the moment.

Could this be a browser issue?
Can you try an alternative?

HaHa, you get a slightly different problem with Brave - no smilies!

Edit:
Firefox is identical to Safari.

On iPhone or iPad, restrictions built in to the OS mean that can be no browser engine other than Safari - Firefox (or any other browser) on those devices present a different interface, but it's still Safari actually drawing the pages under the hood, so trying a different browser on those devices is highly unlikely to make a difference.

This doesn't apply to macOS, where Firefox is 'real' Firefox with its own rendering engine.

There is already a "security update" for 16.4.

I seriously hope they fixed some of the more obvious and egregious bugs, such as the contacts db corruption (second time that's happened after an iOs update - I wonder if they do any testing...).

The other 'entertainment', which wasted several hours of my time, was 16.4 turning on MAC address spoofing with no warning. It coincided with me updating my wifi firmware, and tweaking the security, only to find my phone had 'disappeared' from both access points. Thankfully, my son manages a small in-house Apple support team. Apparently, I wasn't the first!

And this week I discovered my wife's redundant-but-functional iPad 3 is heading for recycling:

The one task it would be excellent for (a screen for a teleprompter), is impossible, as Safari on it doesn’t support HTML5 properly, and nothing else can be loaded, thanks to Apple's built-in-obsolescence policy. The device has no scratches, nor stuck pixels, and a usable battery, but is effectively useless. I'd jailbreak it, but the whole point is having a touch-sensitive GUI, and although Linux can be run, it's command-line only.

What a disgusting waste of resources! I am embarrassed that I ever suggested she get one.

E. (typing on an excellent Galaxy Tab7).

One of the reasons I don't update my Iphone until I think issues have been ironed out. I'm still on IOS 15.4 and it's running just fine atm
I have a degree in faffing about (It must be true, my wife says so)
