Interesting but not sure I see the point since you can download it to your own computer.

I've been playing with it since late last winter. It's pretty slick although it's still rather lightweight. It isn't intended as a replacement for the installed versions of SketchUp but it has its place. I can walk up to any computer connected to the internet and access SketchUp and any models I might have stored in my trimble Connect account. It'll also be great for schools using inexpensive computers such as Chromebooks for their students. And the school's network admin won't have to install it and maintain it.

Having managed a college network I can say that is a big plus, anything that needs installing locally produces a huge amount of work and the problem of stopping the students from breaking the install just disappears with a web base version.
