Applying photo textures

Postby TrimTheKing » 02 Sep 2014, 18:05

Hi Dave

You're obviously oozing creative juice today  :? so here's one for you. When you showed me the other night how to place a photo into my SketchUp, I have completely blanked on how to actually apply the photo to the surface!

I have placed a blank square in the correct orientation, correct location, but can't for the life of me remember how to place the photo onto it as a texture…

Hi Mark,

Check out this old thing I did on the subject of importing images to use as materials. It's essentially the same on the mac although saving the materials for later use is a bit different than on the PC. If you want to save the texture for later use on the Mac, go to the "Colors in Model library and drag thumbnails down to the palette at the bottom. Then switch to the desired library--maybe Wood-- and drag from the palette up to the upper window. Let me know how that goes.
