really brings home how effective the photo background is for presenting the idea. Almost which is real and which is sketchup :)

Those are amazing, dave.

Make's my effort of a pagoda roof on Roger's post, positively naive in comparison!

Thank you Malcolm.

I saw your drawings and they look like they did the job. Who could ask for more?

That's kind of you to say, but, as I said, naive.

Nice drawing Dave - I like the Austrian one, not sure about the other.

Some old stuff. The light is new, though.

Interesting. The table and chairs are a set from the same designer. In fact they share some of the same parts.

The chairs look uncomfortable. My preference is better seat padding and a higher back.

In a minimalist house should go well but hopefully more comfortable than they look.

Am I the only one who can't tell the difference between your drawings and a photograph? :)

Like the airfix kit chair :)

Next time I draw something I must have a play with lighting the scene. The shadows add a lot to the depth perception.

edit
Actually, now I look again... do the shadows match for the chair and the parts? directions look different. Still effective though.

Hi Robert.

The shadows do indeed match. Both the assembled chair and the parts on the tree are in the same model space. :)

Nicely drawn Dave but it looks a bit like a trestle table to me.

Thanks gentlemen.

Rod, it is a trestle table except its got four splayed, tapered legs. I guess that's the way the Italians made trestle tables back in the 50s. :D

It's been awhile. Here are a few more models.

First, I table I designed for a client in New York City.

And the finished table:

The base is steel and the top is maple.

This shows the base extended.

Here's a workbench by Chris Gochnour. It's featured in the current Fine Woodworking Magazine Tools and Shops issue. I drew the model for the digital and printed plans that will be available on their website, soon. The quick release front vise is from Lee Valley.

And this is a little practice from this morning.
