Robert, the gong is 16 inches in dia. Does that help for scale. If it was a table top thing I believe you'd have to call it a "ging" not a "gong".
The sketchy line styles can be used in SketchUp Make but the tool for making your own only comes with SketchUp Pro. There are a number of sketchy styles included with SketchUp Make and you can get more of them. I've got a bunch of my styles available here and there are some from others, too. The shadow thing is done by taking a shadows only export from SketchUp and running it through a freeware program called Fotosketcher (Windows only at this point) andthen combining the result with the sketchy style.
Rod, does your much small version do what it says? If so, I should get one. I suppose, though, if I wanted it to bring whisky, it would need to be bagpipes.
