I ran all my electics in conduits, so they're not too tricky to edit. I ran a spur off the ring to a socket on the ceiling to supply an air filter.

I have a raised timber floor, if this is an option then there's scope to run a few to services in the middle of the room ?

I found the grizzly.com workshop planner really useful at this stage for layout working. Shame it's in... Imperial

Try and split the lighting across two different circuits so that if something trips a circuit in the workshop, you are not plunged into darkness as well.
Consider connecting a battery charging station to one lighting circuit and a separate isolator for everything else so you can kill all the power in the shop apart from half the lights and battery charging (and alarms) when you leave the shop.

Cheers chaps, good ideas.

Andy - I gave up counting months ago...

All external work finished now (I bedded in and pointed up the window cills last week) and old window frames stripped back and primed.

I’m back in work on the 2nd but have a few days of carry over holiday to take so I’m having the 4/5th off then a few more days towards the end of Jan and agreed with SWMBO that those days are 100% workshop dedicated to try and get things sorted.

I wanted the 2nd week of Jan but I’m on a training course in London for 3 days so timing didn’t work.

Mark, if you're making all the second fix electric connections then get yourself a couple of these. At that price you can afford to get two. One is set to remove the grey outer sheath and the second to strip the conductor wires (all in one go).

Wife and kids going shopping so I’m just making a bacon butty and cup of team before heading into the shop for a couple of hours. See if I can’t get some undercoat onto the window frames...
