do you really need a skirting? I don't have one in my workshop. Just something to get in the way of things on wheels pushed to the wall.
Looking good in there. Not as much fun as making the workshop but you must be getting near the stage where you'll have to make a project..

Agree with Robert. Another dust collecting surface.

Ok. No skirting. I'll just seal the edge gaps.

My first project will be Stage 2 of the build - an intersecting roof on four pillars/posts over a deck going up to the doors.

Friends and rellies keep asking when the grand opening will be and I jokingly said September. Now they want it finished by then!!

I've started moving 'stuff' from the garage to the workshop.

I'd like you to bear in mind, that for five years before I moved here, this was all in a leaky container somewhere in near Bristol.

Then I put it in my garage which has an insurmountable damp problem.

In my previous life I had made these boxes on wheels as bench/* storage.

One of them had my veritas router table that I bought years ago when I couldn't properly afford it. I have nearly cried as I've seen the steel table surface deteriorate over the years. So today I with some abrasive and some sort of penetrating juice and a medium Garryflex, and some machine wax, it's serviceable again.

I know, Andy. As pieces of steel go, it was beautiful, and I wasn't in a position to look after it. I have to say, it's feels nice a smooth now the wax is on, even with the pitting.

Malc..I share your pain. So much of my stuff has rusted. Just ordered some new set squares from Axminster..as well as the general weather/humidity I had to suffer plasterers picking up my tools with wet hands and not drying them

Jeez, some people must think we all live within popping distance of a tool store. :)

I think I could get to Axminster HQ in about 7 hours including a short cruise, Sittingbourne in about 5. There are tool stores in Paris but very expensive.

If someone had videoed me rolling this larger bench, end over end up the steps, over the wall then up the garden and into the 'shop, it'd have gone viral!

Anyway, another wheelbarrow of tools and machines. The Rexon planer still works and the in and out feed beds have cleaned up reasonably well. There a few planes to restore. Still stuff in the garage to come in.

PHWOARRRRRR!!!!

I just set up my new machine!

I plugged it into the Aldi wet'n'dry vac and they work great together; hardly any dust.

And I know it's just a rough old bit of 2 x 1, but look how accurate it cuts!

Not, yet, Bob. Wanted to ask, just so I'm clear, connect red to brown and black to blue to the incoming supply, and the other red and black to the brown and blue of the driver?
