Not wanting to rain on anyone's parade, wouldn't it have been better to take the DPM behind the breather membrane so any water that gets onto the membrane has a free path to escape?

You could be right, Doug.

If any gets onto the back of the cladding, then hopefully it'll drip down onto the DPM.

If any gets through the breathable membrane and into the mineral wool, I don't know if it will sink through the wool with gravity or stay where it is through capillary type action.

I'm hoping the latter where it can evaporate in situ.

But I am happy to be guided by experience. Any ideas, gents?

Isn't that fold-up going to trap any moisture running down the membrane?

I think it would. I hope a million staples haven't been used!

Really coming together now Malcolm, looking good! How are you tackling doors - made or bought?

Have you got any breather membrane left? You could always run another piece in under the middle one, dressed over the DPC. You wouldn't need to remove anything other than the staples at the bottom edge of the middle sheet.

That MikeG is the Ninja of shed builds!! :eusa-clap:

I've got enough, just, BM left, but I had to drive to the next town to get some more Stainless Staples! Ha!

Thanks, for your comments, Gents.

Dave, I've made the doors just over 1220mm wide so I can put an 8x4 through on its side and even lay it on the floor with some outside to cut across it.

I shall be making the doors which might evolve over time. Their first iteration will be leftover 95x45 and left over OSB, and hopefully I can copy MikeGs idea of folding a strap hinge.

Thanks, Roger, but when you're passing, you should pop in and see that it's not as good as it should be. But I'm quite pleased, so far.

Anyway, you'll be pleased to know that my arris is now nicely dressed!!

How you all saw it last time.

I unstapled the whole lot and unscrewed the arris. It wasn't a long job. Just had to keep hopping indoors because of heavy showers.

I'm now in correspondence with a local woodland timber supplier for the cladding.

Looking really neat - I know it's going back a little but that roof looks really smart. What type of cladding will you be using?

Thanks, Gents.

My mum taught me how to make a bed back in the 50s, then in 1970, Police Training Centres were very much run on military lines. Anyone remember bed rolls?

I am going for feather edge cladding. I'm trying to source some from my nearest working woodland. Then it's Bedec Barn paint, the French Grey. Me and Mission Control have had a chat, and although she originally went for Forest Green I pointed out that the lighter colour lets the natural foliage show its true colour, so to speak.

And both sides! a good way to use up old paint for the back.

Production line techniques called for because it was raining so heavy, I couldn't get outside.

But It forced me to think of production techniques and I came up with this.

OK, I know, you're straining your neck to look at the image. I've tried every which way, but cannot get it upright portrait.

When the rain stopped it only took 15 minutes to do this.

I've still not worked out how I'll do the corners, but I'll get there. The local woodman is ringing back later this week to see if he has enough tree left to cut me enough FE for this job. I won't finally work out the corners till after the FE gets here.

Mods/Admin, can you show me where I'm going wrong with the images? Thanks.
