Pent or Apex Roof

Postby Dave1w » 10 Nov 2017, 13:15

As I’m getting near finishing my first shed / workshop, I’m starting to think about the second one and how to do it.

I currently have planning permission for an apex roof, 8x10, with the door in the side, based on this drawing

The more I think about it, I am wondering whether a pent roof would be more practical as well as easier to build and whether to go in for a change to the planning permission. At the same time, I would look at increasing it to 10x10 I think.

What do people think, is a pent roof generally more practical ?

Cheers
Dave

I'd stick with the current roof, Dave, but only on the grounds of my personal taste.

You have a point, it would (I think) look better as an apex
