Planning Permission Flowcharts

Postby Deejay » 22 Oct 2015, 08:56

Morning all

I found these flowcharts about planning permission for outbuildings ...

For England, Class E, pages 18 - 21 of ...

https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/media/36296 ... 110427.pdf

There is a summary here ...

http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/upload ... ldings.pdf

For Scotland ...

http://www.gov.scot/Resource/0045/00458772.pdf

Edits - 9fingers has now put the charts into a folder named Permitted Development Guides on Dropbox, which you can access via the link in the top right hand corner of this page. Thanks Bob.

There is now a flowchart for English BR's. Thanks to Terry (wizard9999) for reviewing it.

Cheers

Excellent work by DeeJay and particularly relevant to recent threads on workshop builds. I've made it a sticky and hopefully it will be useful to members

Good stuff, Dave.

A word of warning to anyone trying to use the Govt Planning Portal.

It is buggy.

You get Error 500's when you try and find out the fee for outline planning permission.

Their Contact Us section takes you round and round the houses and you never, ever get the opportunity to Contact Us. No email addresses. No online contact form.

Once you have set up an account there is no way of changing the email address associated with your account. So if you change provider then you have to create a new user identity. And lose all your portal stuff which might include all your planning applications. I haven't confirmed the latter - just be aware.

There are some very good govt websites out there these days. This is not one of them.
If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.
