I can handle it

Postby Dalboy » 29 Sep 2016, 19:48

At the last club meet I brought three turning tools for £10 one, Ashley Iles point tool, one Robert Sorby 3/4" skew chisel and a Henry Taylor box scraper with a home made handle which I did not like the feel of so decided yesterday to turn a new one and finished it today by fitting the tool into the handle.

As I quite like the Robert Sorby style handles i went for that shape.

In the three photo's the first is the tools as brought, the second is the old handle along side the replacment and a Robert Sorby tool for a pattern.
The final photo is the completed tool ready for use it feels nice in the hand.

Looks smart Derek.
