Ebonised pierced glitter bowl

Postby Dalboy » 04 Nov 2016, 20:30

Tomorrow is club night and yet another competition, well I managed to complete this bowl yesterday only after twisting wrong while washing the car and buggering my back in agony all day yesterday and today.

Also a short video hopefully showing the glitter effect even though the glitter does sparkle in red, green, blue and silver which is not that clear in the video. Hopefully will get some photo's up soon as well.

Luckily at the club tomorrow I will be sat down all day.

mod edit: imbedded video I hope

I'd like to make it to one of your club nights. I bet there is plenty to marvel at and to learn.

I really like that - I've not turned any bowls for some years and have never drilled holes or applied colour so maybe now is the time to have a go :-)

Have been at the club all day and pleased to have got a joint first in the enhanced section.

As promised some photo's not that good.

There are certainly some great turners in our club like many clubs around the world. Here is the club page

Have a go and don't be afraid to experiment by trying new mediums, some woods don't need anything added to them others shout out to either be cut, pierced and coloured it is just being brave enough to take that first step

Well done on the joint first Derek. France is one of those countries that is not blessed with a lot of wood turning clubs. There is a strange attitude towards the non professional creative crafts here.
I do not think therefore I do not am.
