I think the repetitive nature of doing the same thing so many times would have done my head in.

At the time we had a conservatory with beech furniture and lounge + dining room increasingly white oak. The idea was that at times like xmas the two could be combined to seat 10. That still happens now but the conservatory is gone so only the table top remains of the beech table and that lives in the shed the rest of the year along with the single leg and framework that clamps to the main table. The beech chairs are in the bedrooms and my box room/computer room.
