Worx circular saw

Here's the place to talk about all your table saws, bandsaws, routers and dust extractors. In fact anything that makes noise and uses electrickery.

Worx circular saw

Highly recommended. My electrician showed me his one and it's brilliant at cutting the tongues off of T&G or chipboard flooring. The kerf is tiny at 3mm.

Comes with three blades...one medium and one coarse for wood and one diamond blade which would be ideal for removing grout in between tiles.

And what's even more surprising is that it comes with a laser line indicator that needed NO adjustment. It cuts where the laser line goes. Excellent. :eusa-clap:

One of my best buys.

Cheers. I've got a cheap Performance Power one but it's crap and the battery life is barely double figures so might look at that.

Any opinions on the Lidl offering this week

https://www.lidl.co.uk/en/Non-Food-Offe ... cleId=2905

I'm considering this to use with a home made sawboard when going to the DIY sheds to break down sheet goods in the car park to fit in my estate car. I have a 1kva suitcase genny to power it.
Very few of our local sheds have in store cutting or if they have only one member of staff is allowed to use it and you can wait ages for him to be located.

Seems pretty similar to the worx offering but 25mm depth of cut, 3 y warranty and only 50 notes.

your thoughts?

TIA
Bob

I think it comes from the same factory - if not the same production line.

Dunno about that?

Cable entry, switch and body shape different.

A bit more than a badge engineering jobby I think?

I think I'll take a punt - they can always have it back if it is complete carp.
I've not bought a new toy for a while and SWMBO's pantry is getting a make over currently so should have some credit!

I've not had anything from Lidl or Aldi last with much use.

Might be ok just for what you want it for.

as for the genny, I use a cheapish inverter with crock clips to the car battery (engine running)
If start up current is too much, then I use the speed control, start up on slow, then speed it up.
