CNC Router service

Postby woodstalker » 09 Jan 2019, 20:32

Does anyone know a company or individual where I could get a logo routed into a large piece of wood? I’m due to leave my current job in the summer and want to give a parting gift to my colleagues to hang on the wall in the form of the company logo routed into as big a piece of wood as I can get/afford.

Cheers

I’d google for laser engravers locally there seems to be an abundance of them round here standing on market stalls, very reasonably priced.

Thanks guys, I was thinking much bigger than the norm. In my head it’s about 800-1000mm tall by about 600. Embossed rather than laser engraved if you know what I mean? Could even be done in ply if it was layered up; I’m sure I could finish it to look good.

Hi Roger thanks for the info, whereabouts is Chris Smith in the Country? I am currently in Cheshire most weeks and living in Wiltshire. But I am happy to travel for this project.

I must pay more attention, I totally missed this thread, any how job now done and collected by happy customer.
It's not my place to post a picture but perhaps Woodstalker will post one when he has painted it.
Thanks Roger for the reference.
Chris.

Hi Chris...good to hear from you and glad you've got another happy customer. I have still to finish my project  At this rate, Mark will be in his workshop before I've finished my orangerie. Mind you, he did start 20 years before me.

Thanks Chris it looks really good. I’ve got the first few coats of paint in it and it’s looking pretty smart, I am regretting not letting you spray it up to get the best finish though.

Thanks for the recommendation Roger. Top job, exceeded my expectations.
