Butterfly pot

Postby Dalboy » 01 Oct 2019, 17:50

Another play made this yesterday and thought I had posted here bl**dy mind playing tricks

Anyway an oak pot which I originally posted elsewhere with a lid but decided it did not look right but will add a photo so you can see.

A little pyrography and painting it has two butterflies one each side one with a red wing colour next to the body and the other blue. The final finish is acrylic sander sealer and satin lacquer.

Here is the pot with the lid which is ABW and a white acrylic knob.

Nice dinky little pot but as you say, better without the lid - Rob

Nice! I like the butterfly decoration - very neatly done. It would be nice to see something similar done with marquetry/inlay
