wadkin pk restoration

Here's the place to talk about all your table saws, bandsaws, routers and dust extractors. In fact anything that makes noise and uses electrickery.

That crown guard is art! I'd be happy having that mounted on my wall.

I had a nice polished switch which I placed on a nice oak surface in the house, the wife quite liked it and allowed it to stay for a little while.

Its the same colour that I always use RAL 7O11, the only difference is this is 2 pack paint which is a lot more expensive but I do like the durability better than machinery enamel. Also it is not semi gloss like I normally use

Just about finished

When I got the strips done for the base I had them slightly oversize so I could hand finish them whilst trying in the slot.

Its still got its original 78 year starter which works well

I still have a few jobs to day like fit the brass into the table and the lip of the slider. I don't have a pillar drill anymore so I'll leave these bits until I finish my next machine which is going to be one of these.
I also need to make a table release and get the mitres machined up

That machine looks as though it could take a much bigger blade.

You could squeeze a 2O" blade in but you'd have to remove the riving knife

That polished up guard looks stunning, as does the rest of the machine, but that guard really sets it off. Beautiful.

I like the strategically placed greenery in the background of the picture showing the guard.

I've got a bit of ivy encroachment. I meant to chop it down because its growing up the T&G on the outside and it roots into anything
