It’s getting closer

I think you're supposed to do it daily. So if you start developing symptoms ....

Bit late for me, that app.........

-

Tentatively, I think I'm going to say I'm better. I'm not 100%, being a bit floppy and washed out, and with a pathetic little cold (which is how the guy I caught it from also finished). But all the other symptoms have gone, and in particular my temperature has returned to near normal.

Good to hear Mike. Nothing worse for either of you to be stuck indoors with the weather we are enjoying at the moment.
Can only hope the missus recovers as quickly as you.

There seems to be a “bug”
This morning the app won’t start up just a dark purple screen.
Normally I’d delete it but I’ll wait to see if it updates.

Don't waste your time. Doesn't wok. You can't create an account.

10/10 for the idea of creating the app

0/10 for understanding how to design systems for large numbers of users/volume of traffic

Just created an account on Android with no problem.

There is a review on the play store that says account creation fails if you use autocomplete as it adds a space character after the entry. I saw the space and deleted it.

Went back to mine, on iphone, a few hours later and it opened up properly.
I'd already opened an account yesterday so no problem there.
If it helping it is minimal effort from me.
Might be an idea if it popped up with a reminder each day.

My early morning routine over coffee in bed is calling at a number of websites, puzzle of the day on BBC etc and various apps so I'll try and add this to my mental list.
Anything serious is done on the laptop/real keyboard after breakfast.

This is the form (translated into English) we have to sign every time we leave the house er property, we are allowed unlimited freedom of movement in our gardens

It has to be filled in with indelible ink, pencil not allowed, and we need a new one each time we venture out.
These must be hand written if no access to printer etc.
Close to home = 1km and exercise is only for 1 hour, hence the date and time.

Note the footnote #1 relating to supporting documents! Dunno if I must produce a shopping list :)

I'd love to see the reaction if this is tried in the UK.

I think that it is to allow non professionals for example local hunters to control nuisance wildlife but only if instructed to do so by the local mayor or similar government authority.

Letters to the mediacally vulnerable.
About a week ago it was said that about 1.5m medically vulnerable people in UK would get a letter instructing them to isolate for 12 weeks.

SWMBO and I believe we might be in this category, me for type 2 diabetes (well controlled by tablets & diet) and she for reduced lung function and on steroid treatment for life.

1.5m sounds a low number to me as I believe there are in the region of 2m diabetics for a start let alone all the other, frankly more serious issues.
We are following the self isolation rules applied to all and only going out for exercise and shopping etc.

Clearly 1.5m letters will take a while to be sent out but I've seen nothing about the scheduling and for example "If you have not had one by such and such date, then you can assume you won't get one"
Are these coming from a single source or are recipients chosen by there specialist consultants.

Anyone know any better than me about this?

I don't know the specifics but a mate of mine has Crohns and has taken immuno-suppressants for 15 years. He's had one telling him he's in the highest category and must self-isolate in his own home, staying 3 metres from everyone else in his own home at any given time...
