I doubt it's the machine Paul. That happened to me a while back and I asked Google why the bread didn't rise; forget the answer I got but there are multiple reasons; have you looked in the Book of Words at the back? - Rob

Also , they mention wiping the temperasture sensor as , if its a bit mucky , this could effect the cooking temp . Then of course there is a section on the usual cooking problems .
