• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

    Can you spot the problem

I spoke to the Neighbours about it. Apparently the roofer discovered structural problems with a recent extension when he took those tiles off so the membrane is temporary but I take Roger's point that if we had a deluge, water would likely enter the house.

    Can you spot the problem

The neighbours are completely impractical but i will mention it. I dont think it right to tell the roofers and would expect a Foxtrot Oscar response to be honest.

    Can you spot the problem

Exactly that. Its not been battened yet but why not put in on correctly ready for battening The roofers are a strange lot sometimes only turning up for a couple of hours with one block then the next day turn up mob handed with five blokes but never stay more than half a day.

    Electric spice/garlic grinder

Careful Andy, Janice takes a very dim view if I buy anything for the kitchen and give it to her as a gift. 2 pairs of oven gloves went down like a lead balloon for her recent birthday and last Christmas's pack of dish cloths got a similar reaction!

    RIP Cherry Hill

I know we have some metal bashers here so it is sad to hear of the passing of Cherry Hill one of the most accomplished model engineers at the grand age of 93. RIP Cherry https://craftsmanshipmuseum.com/artisan/cherry-hill/

Denbigh Drill Press (not - Meddings pillar drill 3ph to 1ph conversion)

There is a good chance they will be a coarse thread something like 1/4" whitworth but if you cant track any down then 1/4 UNC might be easier to find and should fit as they have the same pitch. Bob

Festool domino df 500 alignment question

I bought a secondhand df500 a few years back and have been disappointed by its inaccuracies and its been set aside in favour of my good old biscuit joiner. Thanks to this thread I might take a second look at the domino if an idle moment presents itself.
