Hear! Hear! Andy!!I wanna know how he manages to rip those pallets apart so easily. Ever time I've tried I come up against ring shanked nails that either refuse to budge or the leave the timber unusable when they do eventually come out.
I'm glad that you mentioned the roof! It rendered me more or less speechless but then I thought that I better hadn't show my lack of skill by mentioning it. He must have spent an awful lot of time at the drawing board before he kicked off. Thanks, I really enjoyed that. I'd normally steer clear of something that looks like a YouTube gimmick project, but that was at another level altogether. I loved the simple, practical construction, which then stepped up a gear or two when he got onto the roof! A very talented man indeed.
He showed that at the beginning. He didn't try to pull the nails out. Instead, he smashed the corner blocks with a hammer so they split into bits, releasing the nails easily.Maybe he's still young Sam.

I've been watching Jason's videos for about three years. He has videos showing how he built all of the furnishings in his shop using reclaimed material.Nice shop also, I enjoyed viewing the video.
I shall watch more of his vids Mike.I've been watching Jason's videos for about three years. He has videos showing how he built all of the furnishings in his shop using reclaimed material.
Ahhhh...so he is using pallets where the corner blocks are that dreadful compressed sawdust and resin sh1t. As you say, makes Life a lot easier. For some reason, they are as rare as rocking horse poo up here. The four pallets I've had to doctor up (for odd shaped loads) have all been evil knotty pine corners. And those ring nails? All Hades brand. He showed that at the beginning. He didn't try to pull the nails out. Instead, he smashed the corner blocks with a hammer so they split into bits, releasing the nails easily.
I found Corner Gas by accident and watched every episode. Another great Canadian show, at least for me, that I found at about the same time is "Puppets Who Kill". Both shows are available on YouTube.I shall watch more of his vids Mike.
I also like Corner Gas.
He also uses a lot of discarded furniture and household appliances.Ahhhh...so he is using pallets where the corner blocks are that dreadful compressed sawdust and resin sh1t.
Indeed but there is also a shot of him pulling straight nails out with a claw hammer. Like Sam I have never seen such things. He showed that at the beginning. He didn't try to pull the nails out. Instead, he smashed the corner blocks with a hammer so they split into bits, releasing the nails easily.
