• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Greetings from Brizzle.

Some of you may recognise my avatar name from UKworkshop, don't run away, I promise to be nice :) **

For those that don't I'm a Bristol (UK) resident, occasional sawdust maker, having learned a lot from contributors on UKworkshop and I'm sure I'll learn even more here.

Glad to be among friends again.

**Except for trolls.

Welcome RZ.

We don't have trolls here. One of the reasons is that we have a 3 post hurdle before posting becomes automatic and normalised, so drop a couple of quick responses in here and then you're off and running.

I lived in Bristol as a youth. I haven't been back for years and years, but I remember it as big, busy, and interesting.

Hey RafeZetter, a familiar name, good to see you over here, you're among friends.

Welcome from Dursley. I lived in Bristol for 11 years before moving to the far ( ) north.

Dursley eh? I lived in Cam high street (opposite the co-op and funderal directors) for about 5 years, still have friends there.

Does the Dursley Lions still do it's satuday "auctions" of old furniture? Was quite handy for project donors to learn techniques on.

Hi Pete, still have your "signed" marking gauges, tenon saw and 4-1/2 plane with stayset cap iron you donated to the charity auction :)

Hey Rafe ? Great to see you here at last ;) :D

Hehe Hi Roger - apologies, late to the party I know, no reason other than "I'll get round to it".

Sad thing is I don't really have much interesting WIP's to post either.

Small world. Yes, I think the Lions still sell the furniture. It had never occurred to me to get something from them for practice purposes :eusa-think:

I hope they are still working well.
