• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I have exhausted my stash of blades.
It’s a long while since I have needed to buy some.
Any recommendations of brands or suppliers?

I hope this day never comes, I also have an inherited stash and I've never needed to buy blades!

I think Bahco Sandflex and Eclipse Blue are still the go-tos in the industry, I haven't really seen anything else.

Bahco are the best I've found, though I've been using Electroweld ones (also bimetal) recently,
sold singularly at my local, very very good also, and nice not to have to spend well over 20 quid for a pack.
Not found the Eclipse which are stocked in the pound shop much good, though I wouldn't be surprised if they made
better ones.
I wouldn't be surprised if these were infact what blue saw blades might be seen out and abouts.

Similar to the Eclipse performance, though perhaps not as good, the gray Stanley bimetal ones are a bit rubbish by comparison,
half the price of the Bahco's, the packs come with a selection of TPI, which if cutting dense plastic,
might be worth getting for that one aggressive tooth blade, so long as it won't touch any sort of metal whatsoever.
that said, I've not tried cutting aluminium with those, only steel.

I'd guess there's a better selection in the UK than across the drink though.
Interested to see what others might suggest.

Cheers
Tom

Bahco - the bright orange ones - are what I've been very happy with as well, though I can't claim to have tried too many.
