• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

OMG it's back.

:ROFLMAO:

Here the sun is out and the sky is blue. But we have had a lot of rain and so the lawns have turned into meadows in the space of about 3 weeks. Too wet to get machinery on the ground.

I did expect this, it is nice to look at but this means remove the mower and attach the snow blower to the tractor. My wife loves the first snow fall.

Never been there ,very close, Louisiana.
Have friends that used too winter for many years close to Mission Texas, close to the Mexican border. I tell them the only reason you go there is the cheap dental cost in Mexico.

Hmm, it has been incredibly clement up here in the frozen north. These are from last weekend, but it still looks much the same. The leaves are turning, but normally we would have expected them to have mostly dropped.

There were two very cold nights (well below zero), but just now it’s averaging about 10̊C or so – we call that warm.

By way of contrast this is from last year, although admittedly a month later.

Well the temp. remained below 0 C so the whit stuff is hanging around
Lately we have had a high of 8-9 C.
Amazing contrast regarding your comparison pics.

We sat in the garden in the sunshine to eat lunch on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend, which seems bizarre for the last weekend in October, especially given how sensitive to the cold Carolyn is.
