Hello

Postby Father William » 27 Jan 2021, 10:25

Pete here, from Southampton.

Joined up for a bit of company during these days of lockdown. I learnt some carpentry basics at school in the sixties, when they taught you useful skills. I've since had what is usually politely described as a "portfolio" career, but spent some years working in the exhibition and display trade in Birmingham and London, both on the shop floor and in production management. I have recently picked up the keys to a small rented workshop and am currently building benches and fitting it out with the intention of making some unconventional musical instruments, as well as stuff for the house and whatever else takes my fancy. I'll dust off my camera and go and look at the "How to post photos" thread.

Hi Pete and welcome.

We love a workshop build/fit out, and plenty of pictures. Look forward to seeing yours coming together.
Cheers
