Howdy all,

I’ve also come from the “place that shall not be named”
I’m glad I’ve found a good few familiar names of people that have helped me previously.

Now remind me again, which decent table saw should I buy? My budget is £50..

Best

Sam.

Hi Sam!! Good to see you over here. Great crew to muck around on WH2. Quite a few AGS owners... :D

Hi Sam,

Welcome to the forum

Has anyone mentioned that we like pictures?

I have a nice Wakin AGS but you would need a lot more than £50, if it was for sale.
Regards,
Dave
My tool kit is almost complete, only a few more to get.

Hello Sam and welcome.
Despite me being in the other place since 2005 I don't recall bumping into you.
Maybe you are one of those hand tool sort of chaps.
Pull up a chair and make yourself at home.

Hello Sam. Can't recall if your paths crossed at the other place. Welcome to this one. It is actually a relief here not to see endless threads about whether this Parkside tracksaw is just as good as Festool and such like.

Thanks for the warm welcome there gents :D

I'll add a bit more about myself and of course some photos of my recent acquisitions, as I all know we enjoy admiring or ridiculing (hopefully not :( ) other folks gear.

I sell wine by day (if anyone never needs wine advice, I'm very happy to help advise and recommend) and have always had a tendency towards engineering/design. I'm one of those Millenials that was sold the dream of University and the well paid job at the end of it.. I studied Product Design and it was one of those courses where you do all the theory and design, yet then don't get to do the fun bit on the machinery... Had to hand my designs over to a lab technician to manufacture for me..

I'm always working away in the background and wee hours and have build myself a workshop in the last few years - I wish I'd know about places like this before I built it. I'll do a write up on my workshop build mainly for MikeG's amusement

I can't say that I really posted much on the "other place" as I was more in lurking mode, hoovering up the vast amounts of superb knowledge that was available.

My reason for joining a forum was (sorry to bring it back round to table saws  ) due to the sheer frustrations of trying to make a Clarke 10" table saw cut 90 repeatedly... Poking around a bit and seeing people like SammyQ with his Wadkin AGS10 project inspired me to try something I'd never considered doing before.

Welcome from me as well. I see you hail from Egham; my old stamping ground at Shoreditch College during the 70's. Many a happy pint was quaffed down at the 'Mow' :D - Rob
