Returning woodworker

Postby CMax » 29 Jul 2022, 11:56

Hello,

I'm coming back to the hobby after a ten year hiatus. I'm a member of another forum but heard about this place and figured it wouldn't hurt to be in more than one spot. Just looking to talk about woodworking with like-minded people, give advice, receive advice, and share projects. I like to build solid-body guitars, small pieces of furniture, and primarily stick with a hand-tool approach with minimal machines. I'm coming back to woodworking as a way to bring some reality back to my mostly-digital lifestyle (due to work). I look forward to getting to know you all.

The C stands for Col(in).

Welcome aboard Colin

We've a few instrument makers in here so you'll fit in brilliantly.

First three posts need moderation to make sure you're not a spammer/robot, so don't be alarmed if they don't show up immediately, and you'll find we LOVE pictures of anything and everything project related. Look forward to seeing your work.

Thank you for the welcome, Mark.

It's good to know there are some other instrument makers here. And no worries with the moderation requirement. I'm used to this software from other places. I'm currently in the middle of a house move so it might be a while before I have anything to share, but I'll happily post pics of the workshop and projects as I have them completed.

Hi Colin from NW France, oh yes, pictures of past projects and workshops always go down well. Good luck with the house move they are always stressful.
I do not think therefore I do not am.

Welcome to this very interesting and helpful forum Col. I used to contribute to the other forum (john15) but have settled into this one now.
There are some very knowledgeable members on here so any problems just ask.
