Cold Frame

Ive been busy converting a few bits of left over Iroko into a winter home for my small collection of Triffids. Now we don't have a greenhouse they have been kept in the utility room over the cold season, the warmth in there was giving them ideas of excessive growth and world domination, so I'm hoping this will serve better.
It's only on the garden bench for a day or two before its sited on the south facing patio for the winter
The surplus stainless hinges and gas strut make it look very swish, even the 4mm glass was reclaimed from a blown DG unit.

That's rather posh for a cold frame, Mike! Lovely.

Indeed it is.

Do you think some polystyrene insulation on the inside and base might help with the coldest of nights?
I do not think therefore I do not am.

cheers

Thanks for the kind remarks chaps. As suggested the use of insulation might be a good idea. I'm beginning to think that I might keep warm this winter by burning the huge cardboard boxes and masses of packing materials surrounding even very small items sent via carriers. Are they being paid by the cubic metre?
I try to buy nothing from China.
