I like the angle poise, too. It's a well placed and highly useful ancilliary.

It would be really good if a manufacturer would make a heavy duty, robust angle poise with a (or an optional) 19 mm bar on the end so that it could be placed in the dog holes on the bench.

Nice and well organised workshop there Tom.

I hope and pray that you have not started a trend for workshop poses. :)
I do not think therefore I do not am.

cheers

:text-+1: Definitely. let's stick to photos of projects (I nearly said "let's stick to photos of wood" there but then I thought that could be wilfully misinterpreted :? )

It’s all a chap called Richard Arnold who came up with this sortve design I’ve copied. But his was taken from an old bench not far from
His workshop and only differences I think is the chunky legs which I love and the construction I think ours are very close although the front top board is thicker and I notched put the supports as it makes it a bit more rigid I guess but my main thought was it won’t twist and be more secure. And the vice is Richards idea I think he’s done a version in the past but it’s basically having a vintage style vice but it’s really a record quick release vice housed in a large wooden jaw

I’ve seen this heavy duty led thing but it’s a two arm style I have seen onse like mine the e.d.l lamps with 4 and old chap I know got one free clearing out a shed lol
I paid little for mine but had to drive to get it and re wire it but have seen them for hundreds but I doubt they ever sell for those high prices

Hush you love it haha and it shows well the size of the bench and I’m not small by any stretch of the imagination lol

I remember reading about Edinburgh dock workers making the interiors for ships and that at lunch the joiners would somtimes have a nap on there bench lol
