Today i decided that i needed a rail square. Its been on the list for a while but I've been busy with other stuff. Not today though. Work had put me on reduced output so ill find my own jobs instead.
I took a nice big chunk of aluminum extrusion, normally reserved for exhaust end caps and lopped a chunk off. A few holes and a bit of some other aluminum I had and we are in business.
I made it to fit on one of the joining strips but then in limited to 1 rail. So I've used some square nuts for now and will make a gib strip for it later.
Is it square? Its square enough. Its also adjustable.
is it as pretty as a 120 quid chunk of anodised aircraft grade (which would be all aluminum, just saying like), nope.
