Close. The shape of the socket rather gives things away. It’s a pocket hole clamp adapter.

so how does it work for internal pocket holes? I think you need a reach around adapter.
Carbon fibre is just corduroy for cars.

Just watched the video in the link as I hadn’t a clue what it was for
I’ve been using the Kreg pocket hole jig for over 15 years now & can honestly say I’ve never needed such a device, they really do make solutions looking for a problem.

It’s just one of three different types of clamps available to hold the joint together while the screw is put in. I gather then that you don’t use any clamps?

I just use a couple of dowels along the centre of the joint line to keep the boards from moving as I tighten up the screws. A bonus is they they remove the need for clamps at all as the dowels keep the vertical board in position making the assembly quicker by freeing up hands
