Even for me, rarely have I come across a better example that epitomises the rubbish coming out of some backstreet Chinese factory these days. A prime example of what I call C-cubed. Cheap Chinese ****.
It stands way at the top of the League of Not Fit for Purpose. To expect an aluminium frame with poorly drilled holes to slide effortlessly up and down two vertically misaligned metal rods is pushing the laws of physics. What did they use to make the holes ? A miniature chainsaw?
Why did they make them oversize?
Why did they bother to fit locking knobs to control the plunge depth when it’s perfectly capable of refusing to budge all by itself ?
And if you make the mistake of plunging too deeply then you’d better have a hammer to hand as that’s the only way of getting it to release.
Useless. Utterly, totally, emphatically useless.
