I don't have that one but a larger Warco one I bought second hand and refurbed.
Nothing much critical about them really and Aldi stuff is backed with 3 year warranty so you are pretty safe. Bound to be reviews on line.
Yes there are Google "aldi belt and disc sander review" brings up several you tube vids

I use a Record Power one frequently. It’s much modified and I use it for tool sharpening amongst other things.

If, as I suspect it is the "same" as the Clarke etc etc offerings then I would be thinking of an alternative such as a disc mounted on a lathe or a belt sander mounted on a stand of your making.

i want one like this, but an 18" disc and a proper edge sander, built like a tank for only 500 quid.
