Sad news for woodturning

Postby Dalboy » 04 Oct 2020, 11:43

I have learnt today of the sad passing of Mark Baker on the 2nd of this month, the Editor of the woodturning magazine which he did for many years. I personally have had quite a few phone call with him and spoken to him at length at different venues.

A very sad day for his family and friends as well as the woodturning community at large he will certainly be missed

That is sad.
I remember at one of the European Woodwork shows, talking to him. He had left his camera at home, I sent him a disc with all the pictures I had taken that day.
Regards,
Dave
My tool kit is almost complete, only a few more to get.

Sad times. I didn’t meet him but saw him at a show or two and have seen a couple of videos of him.
Cheers
