Thinking of Mike's friend and Sooty's mini lathe I came across this photo of my first lathe.

Superb!
My first one had two nails for the head and tail stock through a 4x2 frame, and a treadle attached to a bungie cord and a rope for the power source. It wasn't great.

Matthew Platt at Workshop Heaven still uses the one he bought off me; an original pale blue Coronet before they painted them maroon - Rob
