Germany is not like the UK when it comes to post codes. My entire city, and most of the immediate surrounding area, has the same post code. There is only one city in all of Germany called Gernsheim, so it won't be difficult to find on Google Maps.

Andy, if it really makes a difference, my complete post code is 64579. If it helps, the What3Words designator for the Gernsheim Stadthaus is replay.hasty.reap.

Mike
you have been added.
French postcodes are the same, Mine covers about 5 villages. Quite useless when compared to the UK system.
The first part of the UK postcode is probably similar to the French/German whole postcode and is ample to give folks here and idea of where you are without giving away the whole address on what is, after all,a public forum.

HI John, Welcome aboard. Could I suggest that you amend your profile to just show your location as simply the first half of your postcode for better security.

Thanks Bob

Happy to also be on the map, I think it is a good idea. My postcode is S18 XXX I put the XXX in just in case I owe money to anyone on here I am now untraceable, Safe in my little shed wearing my made to measure tin foil hat. (only took the guy a minute to make and cost £25 it was £30 but I haggled).
The older I become the more things I find wrong the young.

Hi Andy,

Feel free to add me - ZE2. If anyone wants to nip round then be my guest... it's only a 13 hour / 220 mile ferry ride once you get to Aberdeen :eusa-dance:
